Welcome to my website.
Art has been an ever present part of my life. My formal education in fine art began in art school in my younger years years and continued at Algonquin University and at the Ottawa School Of Art. While working full time in office management and accounting, I maintained in parallel a career as an artist and art instructor. Painting makes me whole, and is an intrinsic part of who I am.
My paintings capture the world around me in vivid splashes of colour. I let my spirit soar with my paints as I paint what I see, whatever stirs my soul. After a career in business spanning many decades (yes, both sides of the coin!) living and working in Ottawa, Calgary, China and Europe I am currently back home in Toronto immersed in teaching and painting full time. My travels and experiences in different countries greatly influence my artwork.
I try to keep abreast with art and its ever-burgeoning world. I am an active participant throughout the year in many art shows and exhibitions as well as teaching art courses and workshops in art organizations. On invitation, I hold drawing and painting demonstrations in various cultural and art groups in Toronto. I participate in juried as well as solo shows both here in Toronto and in Ottawa, where my husband and I lived for several years while raising our family. Back home in Toronto now, I belong to a few select art groups in and around the GTA and find it enormously stimulating and deeply satisfying to be a part of the cultural art mosaic of this vibrant city.
As a member of Saatchi Art International and Artfinder, I currently sell my work in Canada, USA., UK and Asia.
